The Mariner is excellently located in the town of Westport. It is new (or newly renovated) and is very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast on both days and there was a great choice of excellent food. The staff were friendly and cheerful. They have a full time reception so checkin was easy. We used it as a base to climb Croagh Patrick and visit the local pubs and restaurants which were great.

Friendly and helpful owner. Though we were staying for one night we arrived with a large case as we were travelling onward and were offered to move to a ground floor room to avoid hauling luggage upstairs which was very much appreciated! Our room was spotless, large comfy bed and bathroom with great heat/water pressure. Breakfast was delicious!

Beds were very comfortable and the location was fantastic. Staff was super helpful and friendly. They even answered our late-night call when my brother got locked out and forgot the key code. Breakfast was great, and we really enjoyed our stay.
