Set on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Balam Ya offers a private dock area, free kayaks, and a complimentary light breakfast. Each villa has a balcony with views of the lake.
Our villas are surrounded by gardens, and offer free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Our larger villas are equipped with a kitchen and utesils, a standard fridge, our smaller villas are equipped with a kitchenette and utensils, a small fridge. You can find in all our villas: microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Small fans provided according request.
Breakfast was great, staff was exceptional! Rooms were beautiful and space was unreal! Gorgeous views in every direction, and easy access to kayaks, accessible staff for any questions, etc.

Hotel Utz Jay is located 2 blocks from Lake Atitlan in Panajachel. It offers lush gardens and fruit trees, a hot tub and a Mayan-style sauna filled with relaxing aromatic herbs.
Rooms here feature a balcony with garden views and come with free WiFi and flat-screen cable TV. The private bathrooms come with free toiletries and towels.
Utz Jay was a great choice. It was one of the most comfortable beds. We had room 15 and had our own resident humming bird each morning sat out on the balcony. A lage room with good sized hot shower. All of the staff we met were very pleasant. The breakfast was typical and the two young guys serving breakfast were a delight.
The location couldn't have been bettered , only 40m from the main Santander street yet very quiet.
Would definitely recommend

This place is paradise and the food was great, Stagg was super friendly and helpful.

Breathtaking views from our corner King Room. The room was massive with so much space. Pool was a plus to relax in the morning before heading out to explore.

The place is beautiful and designed with so much love to the detail! Nothing beats swimming in the pool in the morning. The owner is super friendly and helps out on all questions. Everything is clean, modern and tidy. Dorm is spacious, has its own bathroom and curtains + light on every bed. It's a 20min walk from San Pedro Centro (or 5min Tuktuk ride) which I loved because it's quiet without any city noises. Perfect place for some rest days. Lobo created a real paradise here!
Absolutely stunning! Beautiful stained glass artwork in the windows, creative art pieces, beautiful furniture, lovely deck to lounge on, bed faced this large window to look out on the amazing view. Property was gorgeous and had all the amenities needed.
Lovely hotel. Our room was nice. Comfy bed. Shower warm, though pressure a bit low, but anyway sufficient. Excellent position. Staff very welcoming and ready to help. Fantastic view on the lake. Gorgeous cats 😻 Totally recommended!

The location, a small and intimate hotel, we booked the double room with private bathroom and it was a bit of a luxury in this small hostel. Everything was so clean. The terrace was a lovely place to sit and talk with other travellers. Recommend San Juan if you don’t want the chaos of Pana or the party backpacker scene of San Pedro. A charming town on Lake Atitlan.
Great atmosphere and vibe at Selina! Lovely area by the pool and restaurant with lots of great seating spots, there are some residents dogs that are super friendly!! The bedroom was spacious really comfortable, and had a great design. It's in a perfect location, really close to the ferry boats to Lake Atitlan and local shops / cafes. Great events, including sunset Yoga looking over the lake.
Such a beautiful hotel! So much prettier than the photos. It felt like a real luxury boutique hotel. Our room was very nice, the communal terrace very peaceful, and also the location was amazing. It’s tucked away at the end of the beach but just a few minutes was to restaurants/cafes etc. Highly recommend!

It's a wonderfully tranquil location tucked into the steep mountainside on the edge of the lake. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional. The grounds are wonderfully kept and provide a lovely atmosphere to immerse yourself in nature. In terms of the rooms, most every detail has been carefully thought out and lovingly designed. The hotel offers a rather amazing escape from the oftentimes loud and busy towns scattered around Lago Atitlan.
