The Broad Leys

Aylesbury

Situated a 2-minute drive from Aylesbury town centre, The Broad Leys offers a pub restaurant, free parking, and a spacious garden. Dating back over 300 years, the building has been decorated to retain its original features and character. We picked this hotel as we were passing through and from the outside it looked standard. The room however was so amazing: a large bedroom with a large very comfy bed, and upstairs we had a large bathroom with a huge copper bath! Also airconditioning, and the breakfast in the morning was good!

The Nags Head Hotel 4 stars

Great Missenden

A 10-minute walk from the centre of Great Missenden is the Nag’s Head Hotel, a 4-star 15th century inn. Guests can enjoy contemporary styled interiors, Anglo-French fusion cuisine and free Wi-Fi.

Each en suite room is individually designed, some featuring original wood beams and all boasting modern fittings. Views look out onto the surrounding countryside and the Nag’s Head’s own large garden. I liked the back patio area with different types of seating.

The Bell by Innkeeper's Collection 4 stars

Aston Clinton

Set in a beautifully restored 17th century inn, this guest accommodation is at the foot of the Chiltern Hills and offers spacious and stylish rooms. Stayed in by Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor, The Bell, Aylesbury East by Innkeeper’s Collection now serves seasonal dishes and speciality drinks in The Bell restaurant and bar. Great vegan breakfast with hash browns, avocado, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and sour dough toast. Our family room was lovely and it was split-level so we all felt we had our own space. The staff were all great. We had dinner one night too and there was a whole vegan menu. Would most definitely stay again.
