Salpalinjan Hovi is set in a charming, renovated school building, 10 minutes’ drive from Lappeenranta city centre. It offers self-catering accommodation with classic décor, a kitchenette and private bathroom. WiFi and parking are free. Excellent location and awesome place to stay close to Lappeenranta. The "history room" is super, it's very spacious and it's fully furnished with everything. The host is very nice and helpful in explaining what to do in the nearby area and in Rutola village. Nearby there's a GP Grilli which is excellent. I highly recommend it if you're passing by!
Savonlinna
Just 100 metres from the bridge to Olavinlinna Castle, this small boutique hotel is next to Lake Saimaa in Savonlinna. It offers individually decorated rooms with scenic views and free wired internet. Lossiranta Lodge is an eco-friendly hotel and is certified by Green Key. The place is amazing, perfectly situated on the lakeshore, with lovely apartments. The host is fantastic, helpful and willing to offer advices on the places to visit.

Stylish Boutique Hotel side. Looks like renovation was just done. Clean room and common premises. Hotel is near from everything: city center, sightseeing.
The location was excellent for the Opera. Within a short walking distance. The room was clean. Shower as well. The wallpaper design was really nice and cheerful.
Very charming boutique hotel, just a few steps from the castle. We appreciated the quality and variety of the breakfast, and the fact that they prepared packed breakfasts for us the second morning since we had a very early departure. Staff was great in all regards; they really made us feel comfortable. We also loved the historic ambiance.
Owner Johanna is a star in kindness and flexibility. I booked on the same day as I arrived, and even though I showed up by her surprise, she was very welcoming. The boutique hotel is in a perfect condition, with a personal touch that makes you feel at home, rooms are very good and spacy with great facilities. Breakfast is excellent.
The service and communication was great, they offered pickup shuttle from or to Savonlinna for 15€/per. There is window screen in the room to prevent insects, which is the best design ever. There is also a dryer in the room. The sauna included was also good.

Beautiful location with astonishing lake views from all windows, quiet, all new equipment, luxury bed linens and towels, immaculate design, fully equipped kitchen, lovely views. Property owners go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. The children had so much fun in the snow around the house, we cannot wait to come back!
I am not sure what a „boutique hotel“ means, this is a (nice) student hostel turned into a summer hotel (originally built as a hospital in the 19 c., with high ceilings and a wooden structure).
