This hotel is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in years. And I travel a lot. Hated to leave!

Heidelberg Suites is a boutique house on the site of a splendid villa with a private spa, which was originally built at the turn of the 20th century. The suites have been meticulously restored and stylishly designed by an internationally renowned architect and designer. This is a superb small hotel which we loved. Our room was splendid with a lovely view of the river and Heidelberg. It was stylish, clean, large and very comfortable. The hotel staff were all super helpful and friendly, they welcomed us warmly, loaned me a plug adaptor, arranged our taxi back to the station and immediately sorted out a small problem with the shower I told them about. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and great waiters. The hillside gardens at the back of the hotel have good views and a small glass walled gym where you can take in the views as you exercise. The walk along the river into the old town was most enjoyable and the scenic Philosophers walk is nearby too. Heidelberg is a fascinating, picturesque town with lots to do and a huge choice of restaurants, bars and cafes.
