The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. It offers a park with a pool, free WiFi and a limited number of free parking spaces. I liked the receptionist. She was very informative and very good person. I stayed at a female dormitory and the girls were really nice and very quiet so i had a good night sleep.

One of the best hotels, and the best staff really. The room was very nice, the view was mesmerizing.. and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. The hotel also provided free public transportation ticket.

The whole staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice and lovely decorations, stylish ambiente. Super comfy bed, linen and cushion - for a perfect sleep. Gorgeous breakfast. Great bar with wonderful drinks. The Rooms have tea, complimentary drinks in the fridge.
Our stay was simply marvellous! Morcote is truly beautiful and the Relais is an exquisite little hotel. The design and interior is really well done and it’s even more beautiful than in the pictures. Everybody from the staff was really nice and attentive, especially Alex :) We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Staying at this apartment felt like being in a home away from home. The location was ideal, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The interior design was modern, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The apartment was clean and well-maintained, and the beds were comfortable.
The picture of the room matched with the photo which were published in the website. The view is gorgeous and breathtaking. The room is designed to enjoy Lugano to the fullest. The hotel is also located very close to the railway station and funicular to go up to the mountain. The hotel also has brochures to check what great activities are around with descriptions. The restaurant had delicious food. The breakfast was also satisfying.

if it was possible to score 11 out of 10 then this hotel would get 11. perfect location overlooking the lake & a short stroll away from centre. every member of staff exceptionally friendly & welcoming. rooms are all stunning and elegant design. incredible balcony view overlooking lake. exceptional breakfast buffet & an outstanding restaurant for dinner with amazing food and wine list and a nice pre dinner cocktail bar. spa facilities including sauna, pool & jacuzzi.
