The property has absolutely everything you need for comfort: a great shower, good beds, delicious breakfast, and windows with wonderful views os Óbidos! And did I mention the terrace? A true gem! The location is also prime — two steps away from the old town but a little bit aside so that you can sleep quietly. We immensely enjoyed our stay and wish we were staying for a few more days. The Literary Man Óbidos Hotel is a unique literary hotel and the biggest in the world. Located next to the Óbidos Castle, this former convent kept its original charm and was converted in to a hotel called Estalagem do Convento in 1965.

Helping us with directions, restaurants & sightseeing activities. My wife fell & sprained her ankle. Daniel, with the help of the owner, got us ice, which relieved the swelling. Highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was very good. Excellent coffee!
