Hostal Spa Empúries, boutique hotel in L'Escala

Empúries is set in a restored building overlooking the Mediterranean from a secluded beach. It is located nearby Empuries Archeological Site and is a 15-minute walk from L’Escala, on the Costa Brava.

The charming rooms at Hostal Empúries all come with a work desk and include en suite bathrooms. Some rooms are equipped with satellite TV channels and many offer a terrace with great views of Portitxol Beach.

Location wonderful, breakfast excellent: big choice of fresh food; room superb and extremely quiet. The beach is just opposite and the hotel is close to really good local restaurants.

Apartments at the Escala Resort have stylish, functional décor and lots of natural light. The modern kitchenettes include a microwave and fridge.

All good. Easy, cheaper than most places in this area. Very straight forward design, basic. But for a one night sleep, perfect.

    We loved our stay: the stylish decor in a historic building - the salt house and its location moments from a lovely beach and lots of cafes. The owners, Catalan local and her New Zealander husband are very welcoming and laidback. Breakfasts were excellent and we had a huge enjoyable dinner in the restaurant with local anchovies and tomato bread and charcoal grilled fish and flan. We definitely plan on returning .

    Location is fantastic. Design of the whole complex is gorgeous. Food at the restaurant was quite good—much better than what many reviews said. One waitress was amazing although poor thing was understaffed.

    Great place for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting! The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. My room had a lovely view towards the sea. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the owners were friendly. Gorgeous sandy beach - 2 mins. walk away. The medieval village of Sant Marti d'Empuries and the Empuries Greek archaeological site were very interesting to look around. Also the nearby town of L'Escala had nice shops. Highly recommended!

    It’s comfortable, stylish, beautifully-located - right by an excellent beach. Bicycles to rent, and lovely places to cycle to. The staff are uniformly welcoming, friendly and informative.  Truly impressed.

    We stayed in a mobile home. Very spacious and well designed layout. It had so many nice touches: a rack to hang your clothes outside, soaps & eco dishwashing detergent, very nice glassware, even a diffuser! The staff was incredibly helpful & kid friendly (special thanks to Stefan for making us feel so welcome & looked after). You must try the restaurant...everything was delicious and servers very attentive & inviting. The location is tops.

    I was in town for an artist workshop given by IBEX Master Artist Javier Arizabalo, organized by MarcTorrent Salle and Martina and stayed at Jardi de Pedra for 6 nights. This is a gorgeous, friendly boutique hotel close to the beach, set in the historical part of the town. Perfect location, friendly staff, lovely comfortable rooms. Highly recommended. Sheila
