A little haven of peace and tranquility in a busy town. Really lovely owner who gives good advice and makes sure you don’t get ripped off with taxis etc. Great breakfast and big fresh water containers to fill your bottles. Gorgeous garden and pool area and nice place to chill for solo travellers. It’s within walking distance from the colonial area and main attractions - and thank goodness - a world away from the big all inclusive hotels and cruise ships.

The location was great. It is a 15 min walk to cultural centre of Puerto Plata and a 10 min drive to the cable car station. The apartment had a lovely balcony with a great view over the city and ocean. Juan and his wife both met us and gave us good advice about sightseeing, restaurants and other local information. They were very friendly and helpful and Juan spoke excellent English. The apartment was well equipped and it was good to have a secure parking space in front of to the apartment.

The customer service, the spaciousness of the whole place and the feel that made me thing of an old Italian villa design from the past. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated

A budget hotel and often the cheapest place to stay in the Puerto Plata area. Stayed there 6 or 7 times in the past. ALL the staff are lovely and the facilities are good. The food is good, not outstanding but good and I could always find something I liked to eat. Rooms are average but clean and spacious. They used to have 4 bottles in the room with optics but they do not have those now. Had a short stay - just 3 days but was good. Lovely beach.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Carolina. The house and the garden are gorgeous! We also really enjoyed the swimming pool which is of enough size to do few swims. The villa is perfectly conformed to photos. It is also conviently situated, close the historic center at 15min by foot. Frances the owner is really nice and available if you need anything. Thanks a lot!

Location is excellent. It is not a large resort so you get everywhere fast. Was happy with the food, the drinks were awesome. Loved the way the pool was designed to walk right down in without steps or ladders❤Ocean view perfect. I like swim up bars but that's ok:) Room and shower were very large & the hot shower was great . Beer fridge, coffee maker, lots if towels, nice sitting area out large patio doors off bedroom. Staff was super friendly and not pushy. Beds were nice and large, soft pillows.
