Opladed is the upmarket bit of Leverkusen- a very nice suberb which feels very safe and friendly. There is a pedestrianised shopping area (most shops being on 2 roads which cross each other) and this has a cosy feel to it rather than a big city atmosphere. There is a good variety of restaurants and other shops. Nostalgically (for us English) there is a large Woolworths! The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from Opladen train (& bus) station. Trains connect to Cologne (going South) and Wupppertal (North). If you want a train to Dusseldorf or Duisburg (e.g. for the Lanschaftspark in my case) you can get the 201 bus (every 20 mins) to the other station in central Leverkusen (Mitte). The hotel room was very nice, with a desk & chair provided for reading etc. For the breakfast buffet they had a nice variety of seeded bread rolls and meats as well as the usual cereals/juices/cheeses.
This hotel in Cologne’s Deutz district is a 5-minute walk from the Lanxess Arena and KölnMesse Exhibition Centre. It offers free Wi-Fi and free use of the sauna and gym.

I liked the idea of mini shop downstairs and bar staff was very nice. Especially bartender Morteza Tajik looked after me and other couple very well, serving his speciality cocktails, chatting with us at the same time as serving others. I liked his customer orientated service, listening and acting with an empathy. There was also a member of bar staff (girl who moved from Manchester) and I think bar manager were chatty and very friendly.

These hotels offer something a little different in the way of design and usually sit in a trendy, urban part of town. More intimate than your average hotel, they offer high standards with a homely vibe.
Friendly staff. Easy check in and check out procedures.
Nice and cozy swimming pool and sauna and opened late even to the children! Free self service coffee and tea in the stay was bonus!
We were staying in the 3 bedrooms apartment, love the door-less shower room design!

The property is old but well maintained and interesting design . The room was simple but clean and comfortable. The bathrooms was very clean and modern .
Tha garden was full of birds and ducks . Very interesting for me . Definitely I recommend this place .
very friendly staff, deluxe breakfast, lovely sauna, fitness and pool and very clean rooms with renewed bathroom. I stayed with my daughter on a trip to Cologne. the atmosphere is pretty chill and classy at the same time. it was nice to come “home” in this atmosphere after a day in the busy city.
The room was lovely, tastefully designed, spotlessly clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable, perfect after a long drive. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Plenty of parking on site. Recently refurbished, the hotel is finished to a high standard. This is definitely our first choice for future trips in the area.
