Fabio (the owner) and the reception team are warm and friendly, speak good English (which helped a lot as we don't speak Portuguese) and looked after us very well during our stay - nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped us with catching buses, booking hire cars and trips, and great suggestions of places to visit on the island, where to eat and how to make authentic Caipirinha cocktails! Fabio lives at the Pousada and was always around if we needed anything. Also, the reception is staffed 24 hours a day.
The Pousada (which we learned means 'inn' or 'guest house') is situated five minutes walk away from the port and is well located for easy access to the north and south of the island. Vila (the main town on the Island) is twenty minutes by bus. Our rooms all had air conditioning, a fridge, a smart TV, plenty of storage for clothes and a great shower. Wifi is free and there was good service in all of the rooms as well as around the pool and reception. Our rooms were cleaned and our towels were changed every day.
We all had a fantastic stay. My daughter particularly loved Fabio's pet tortoises (who have a pen in the garden) as well as Woody and Buzz the cats.

This chalet is such a lovely place!
Self-constructed with a lot of attention and care (I kept on looking at all the details and used matarials), nice owners - and a stunning view as well.
Loved it!
Food is absolutely amazing, there was no need to eat outside de hotel, with different breakfast options everyday. Each room has a different design. All the decor in the hotel is of very good taste and feels like (a very rich and pretty) home.
Hands down, one of the best hotels i have been to in the world so far. The authentic balinese design, the friendly staff, the view, the breakfast, the pool, the chill out corners, the tropical birds waking you up in the morning, the location, I could proceed but making it short: we love adventure travelling including changing the location every few days but we could have stayed here for two weeks without hesitation.
This is a small pousada like a boutique hotel. The owners are there to great you warmly. We found the accomodation to be zen in spirit. Only steps from a small supermarket, restaurants, and the beach of Caiçara part of Pereque beach.
I can't really fault it, from the extremely friendly and excellent staff service to the facilities, location and food. An execellent beach gateway for two, superb stylish confortable sitting lounge, beach front a few steps from your room and a superb heated infinity pool next to a spacious lovely sauna. All of which is sorrounded by the refreshing preserved Atlantic forest of the island. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience.
the property was in total Brazilian style. A beautiful fazenda where you can sleep, eat and enjoy the outdoor (the garden is charming and the pool is nice and clean). the breakfast was AMAZING, the staff will take care of you and they will cook a real Brazilian express breakfast. the design is simple with nice attention in the details. they welcome you with Brazilian music in the bedroom (very nice touch!) and a good smile at the gate (24/7).
Convenient location, just 5 min walk from the sea and close to amenities and restaurants although quite far from the center. Gorgeous garden and the parrots that live in the garden are just lovely. The owner was very kind and helpful (but foreigners, do get your best Portuguese ready as they don't speak other languages).
