So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

The little basket with bread, juice, meats and cheeses were light and lovely. After eating so late at night in Portugal I really didn't need a large breakfast.

The rooms are very spacious and well appointed with everything you need on hand -they are extremely quiet and peaceful. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with an excellent selection. All in all it was a fabulous stay and one night wasn't long enough.

This was one of the best stays we ever had. The premises are beautiful and of very high quality. Pedro and his wife as well as their staff are exceptionally friendly and want you to feel comfortable at any time. Also the food was amazing. This is a great stay for everyone, but also as family we really recommend it. We will definitely come back.

A terrace is available on site and hiking can be enjoyed within close proximity of the accommodation. The Quinta do Valdelágea was lovely. It had my essential requirements: a good shower with plenty of hot water and comfy beds. The breakfast was delicious and especially nice the last day when we could eat outside. Anabel was most helpful. This was probably our favorite place in our entire Portugal stay.

The air-conditioned accommodation is 12 km from Douro Museum. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Hosts are amazing, ready to welcome you and to make you feel at home. Staff is super prepared and helpful to satisfy your needs (we travelled with a little dog). Breathless view on the valley from the pool, marvellous restaurant with quality dishes, clean and warm room and stunning Porto experience with the excellent Carlos.

You can play table tennis at the country house, and the area is popular for cycling and hiking. Barbecue facilities are available at the country house, and guests can also relax in the garden or go on a picnic in the picnic area. We were very well welcomed to the property by the owner and had some homemade products waiting for us. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Totally recommend this place to stay.

Offering garden views, Quinta de Santa Marinha is an accommodation located in Castedo, 41 km from Douro Museum and 35 km from Mateus Palace. The property features pool and river views, and is 28 km from Natur Waterpark. The country house provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. This was the highlight of our trip. We had the most peaceful 3 nights at Quinta de Santa Marinha, and I would go back as soon as I can. The staff were some of the friendliest people I have ever met, and they did everything they could to make our stay incredible. The views from the B&B were breathtaking, the breakfast was delicious, and the pool incredible as well. Close to other vineyards in the area. Would recommend to anyone!!

Offering an outdoor pool and hot tub, Douro Suites is situated in Baião in the Norte Region Region, 43 km from Porto. The accommodation boasts a spa bath. Guimarães is 41 km away. Free private parking is available on site. Fabulous welcoming by friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to be proposed a free upgrade to their suite which was an absolutely beautiful accommodation wtih Jacuzzi, Terasse and all. The Douro Suites' garden peaceful garden, library blend perfectly with the stunning river & region itself.

Bike hire is available at the property and the area is popular for cycling, hiking and nature walks. Mirandela is within 20 km, while Chaves is at 67 km from the property. Casa de Campo das Sécias is 47 km from Foz Côa and 170 km from Porto International Airport. Host very helpful in allowing me to use her printer to print boarding passes. Breakfast was not just the standard continental bread and coffee, but included fruit, cereals, range of breads and toast and condiments and cheeses, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Room was large. Area is very quiet.
