This quiet and tranquil property surrounded by nature is a 20-minute drive from Madeira International Airport and the city of Funchal is a 10-minute drive away. From Quinta das Faias, guests can reach any point on the island within a 1-hour drive. Our host, Filipe, was very kind and took time to tell us about the local area and Madeira. There was a book with maps and tips as well. He also left a large loaf of fresh baked bread and some eggs from the chickens who roamed the farm. To top it all off, he was able to arrange for our laundry to be done the last full day we were there, even though it was a national holiday! The country house features sea views, a terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The host is super kind and generous - he gave us excellent tips on what to do in the region and where to eat (both restaurant recommendations were epic!), welcomed us in person although we arrived around midnight, had a friendly chat with us and gave us fruit and vegetables from his garden. The location of the property was perfect for our needs (relatively close to the airport and some points of interest), there’s a miradouro perfect to watch the sunset 5min away from the property. Sunrise is seen from the balcony - amazing! The property itself has everything one may need for a comfortable stay, including washing and cooking facilities, a coffee machine, etc.

At the country house, the units are equipped with a wardrobe. Every unit is equipped with a coffee machine and a private bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer, while certain rooms come with a fully equipped kitchenette. All units have bed linen. The cottage is beautifully decorated, and the food was fabulous. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony after the park visitors had all left for the day, drinking a glass of wine and listening to the sound of the waterfalls.

The nearest airport is Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira International Airport, 11 km from Casa de Campo. Spacious, modern, beautiful appartment on the top floor with a terrace and gorgeous view of the ocean and the distant Deserted Islands. Situated in an elegant neighbourhood only 2 minutes from the motorway exit, making it an ideal base to explore the whole island by car. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen and the bathroom well equipped. The owner doesn't speak any English but welcomed us in a very friendly manner. Communication with the responsible lady was seamless in English via Booking.com chat before our stay, and she was very helpful and flexible regarding our special requests. This was our best holiday home ever, we will definitely stay here again if we return to Madeira.
