Offering a garden and quiet street view, Lane End Cottage is situated in Ovington, 25 km from Ageas Bowl and 28 km from The Mayflower Theatre. Kevin, Jo and their children were a pleasure to meet. Very well situated cottage for visiting Winchester and Jane Austen's house, with bus service to both. We actually walked to Winchester on country paths, some by the river, and country roads! Not expensive to use taxi for Winchester. And it gives the taste of countryside and a country village (with a lovely pub, who served delicious pies!). The cottage is very well appointed, spacious, bright, very quiet, well decorated, warm (a very good heating system), comfy beds and good linen, good bathroom and a good breakfast corner (with kettle, toaster, teas, a little fridge -no microwave, but owners were happy to heat up our soup and porridge-; and they left biscuits, milk and a swiss roll).

Denne romantiske herregården med flotte hager har spa, basseng og tennisbane. Very nice and classy place in the middle of the countryside. The room was gigantic. It easily contained the two queen beds and the space of a living room. Room and Hotel were very clean. The included breakfast was very good and had a wide selection. Food quality at lunches and dinner were also very good, but a bit pricey. The place is wonderful if you're looking for a relaxing stay. It has a lot of amenities and walkable areas around the building. Very immersive. We went there for an emergency stay in UK (missed flight connection, with a 11months old) and everyone around was very understanding of the situation and tried to help as much as they could.

A traditional Grade I Georgian manor house, Warbrook House Heritage Hotel provides a secluded and attractive location on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. Free parking is offered. I liked the friendliness of the guy that was working there when I checked in. He carried my bags all the way to my room. He showed me a couple of the nice in the house. And the bed that I slept in was very comfortable! It was very soft like a cloud and the pillow was nice and the blanket was nice and I slept so well. Clean. They were cookies there for me to eat. All together just a lovely stay. And the building was gorgeous.
