Settle
Dating back to 1693, the family-run Littlebank Country House is in a rural location on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. With free Wi-Fi throughout and free onsite parking, it also offers a games room with billiards and a dart board. We had the warmest of welcomes on arrival by Richard, the host. Littlebank is a beautiful old house surrounded by wonderful scenery. Richard cooked us a good breakfast, plenty of choice. We only wish we had been there for more than one night.
Harrogate
The luxurious, individually-designed rooms and suites at Hazel Manor feature scenic views and quality furnishings. Each has a flat-screen TV with DVD player, tea/coffee making facilities and a Victorian en-suite bathroom with luxury toiletries, hairdryer and bathrobes. Free WiFi is available throughout. Perfect location, just outside Harrogate. The grounds are beautiful and to watch the cows grazing in the pasture next door and the bunnies and grey squirrels enjoying themselves was a delight. Thoroughly enjoyed our homemade hot breakfast ever morning and a varied selection of choices. Our host is a retired chef, so it does not get any better. The best surprise was returning from our day trips from Ripon, Ripley and other surrounding villages, to have fresh homemade Scottish shortbread along with a lovely selection of teas in our room when we returned. The hosts gave great recommendations of different villages, restaurants and places to see. They also provided us with names of restaurants within the North Yorkshire Dales area which was appreciated. Thank you Janet and Paul for a lovely stay. Would highly recommend to our friends and family. See you soon and look forward to another stay at the Hazel Manor.

The place was so clean, the staff were sooo friendly and made us feel welcome with our baby. The grounds are absolutely incredible and a MUST see. A wonderfully peaceful nights sleep. The views are stunning. The layout of the cottage is cute. The cottage's fixtures and fittings are great quality. The cottage has a calming and relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful countryside walks straight off the door step. Magical views, that is wonderful for bird watching. Robin Hood's Bay is accessible via foot, car and bus. A lovely location.
Breakfast was excellent with a choice of continental or full English. Set just outside town in the countryside very quiet and peaceful with great walking.
I recently stayed on my own for business and I have to say it's one, if not the loveliest places I've stayed at for work. I had the single room in the B&B and though it was a single it didn't feel pokey at all. Comfy bed, beautiful view over the countryside with a window seat. Spotless ensuite with shower. Tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of milk for once and lovely biscuits. Really peaceful and very quiet for sleeping. Fabulous breakfast and lovely staff. I would highly recommend and already have!
What is not to like about this cottage? Lovely location, if you like the peace and quiet of the countryside, spotlessly clean cottage with everything you need, and excellent hosts. Ideal for hiking in the North Yorkshire moors.
We chose Ellerton Lodge for our honeymoon stay. The most beautiful Bed and Breakfast ever. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful countryside all around. The room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was the same. Shirley and Nigel were perfect hosts nothing was too much trouble. We had the most loveliest honeymoon. Thank you Shirley and Nigel. We came as strangers and left as friends. xx
Quiet and secluded spot in beautiful countryside. It's kind of "luxury basic" - it has everything you need and what it has is well done and decent quality, but also it's really very much a "just the essentials" sort of place (a kettle, a shower, a bed, a TV). What you really are paying for is the peace and quiet and the lovely location. Kaley the owner was super nice and helpful. Recommend the Sunday lunch in the pub next door - it was amazing!
The accommodation was peaceful and quiet yet only around the corner from the bustling main street. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful walking countryside with scenic views. We will definitely be going back.
It was really peaceful and quiet, with lovely views across countryside, yet a 10min (approx) walk along a public footpath took us to the edge of Hutton le Hole. Its a lovely old building (grade 2 listed) with very thick walls built in the 1700s. We watched wildlife from the property. After a busy day sightseeing it was fabulous to relax in a hot bath and depending on the time and season - watch the sun go down whilst in the bath.
