Bridgend
Within 15 minutes’ drive of 4 of the Isle of Islay’s whisky distilleries, Skerrols House has uninterrupted countryside views and is just a 5-minute drive from the coastal village of Bridgend. Located in the centre of the island, Bowmore Distillery is less than a 10-minute drive away. The location is very quiet, in the middle of a beautiful landscape. Great for a nice morning walk. Still, within a short drive you can find restaurants, distilleries etc. Thomas is a very friendly and welcoming host. Rooms are great, spacious, newly renovated. Breakfast ist awesome! Try the scrambled eggs any version. Very nice garden to sit with a beer or for kids to play. Will come again any time we’ll have the chance. My whole family was very happy here.

Lovely little room. Blockout curtains, very comfortable bed and pillows, relatively quiet. Nice to be on the Loch with a view from the window. The staff were lovely.
We loved everything about our stay at Loch Gorm House. It's a beautiful home located near quiet beaches with lovely touches in the rooms. The breakfasts were the best we've ever tasted! They were tailored to suit any requests you had and set you up for the day. Our host Fiona was full of tips, tales, craic and character! Nothing could have made our stay even better than it was. An absolute gem.
We spent to little time on Islay this trip. So next rime we will book directly with the staff as she was brilliant fixing up a Bookings.com mistake. The view from the upstairs bedrooms, of their tiny harbour and surrounding tidal flats is peaceful.
Breakfast was superb, facilities made available for eating take-outs back in lounge. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room was small but functional. Location was lovely and tables on lawn overlooking sea was a bonus. Quiet town and hardly any traffic -perfect!
Everything. Super bed Super room Super hot shower. Super staff- with that quiet relaxed approach that comes with true professionalism.
The hostel is small and was relatively quiet as we were there just at the start of the season. Lorna and her husband are very helpful and kinda. The hostel is located directly on the waterfront in port Charlotte, which has a nice pub and a few restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and the shared bathrooms and showers are kept very tidy. We had a great stay!
The house is set on the beautiful coastline so the views are amazing all the time! It’s so peaceful, with a huge enclosed garden so we don’t have to worry about the dogs. It had all the amenities we needed and more to have a super relaxing and comfortable stay. Something I thought was a massive extra mile factor was there was an inhaler in the property - as someone with with bad asthma, that could’ve been a life saver should something had happened to mine! We visited as a family and loved every second!
Breakfast was special, served directly by the chef. The hotel is located in a quiet and beautiful countryside. It is difficult to access by bus, but in return you can enjoy the typical Scottish natural beauty.
This is in a great location in the centre of Bowmore. it’s easy and free to park on the road right outside. The decor is fresh and modern and has been done to a high standard. There are lots of nice little touches to make it special. it’s more private than a b&b and very peaceful and quiet. The king size bed is super comfy. The host is also friendly and helpful.
We had a big room with adjoining single room and en-suite. Loads of space and great views. The bed was wide and super comfy, and it was so quiet and peaceful. Bathroom was new, good shower and all very clean. Sitting room for guests with TV and lots of sofas downstairs. Breakfasts were lovely - cereal, fruit toast and full Scottish!
