Bridgend
Within 15 minutes’ drive of 4 of the Isle of Islay’s whisky distilleries, Skerrols House has uninterrupted countryside views and is just a 5-minute drive from the coastal village of Bridgend. Located in the centre of the island, Bowmore Distillery is less than a 10-minute drive away. Exceeded all our expectations. Very lovely room, super friendly staff and delicious breakfast. We couldn't recommend this place more. Super nice and quiet surroundings, great for a nice afternoon walk to just take in the beauty of the Isle.

Good location, tidy and quiet room, good quality of food in the restaurant.
Quiet little town on Islay. Little traffic. Close to a pub. The building has history but is beautifully modern inside, but don't expect any elevators. Close walk to memorial statue commemorating the local men who fought in WW1 & WW2. After breakfast and check out, we were able to drive to 7 out 8 whiskey distilleries on the island. Didn't get to number 8 because we needed to be on our ferry out of Port Aisaig at 5:30 for boarding leave time 6pm. My kids loved having their own room and the cookies in the rooms.
Breakfast was special, served directly by the chef. The hotel is located in a quiet and beautiful countryside. It is difficult to access by bus, but in return you can enjoy the typical Scottish natural beauty.
Clean and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful.
The hosts, the community feel, the room itself, the peacefulness, the fresh outdoors that’s right at your doorstep
This is in a great location in the centre of Bowmore. it’s easy and free to park on the road right outside. The decor is fresh and modern and has been done to a high standard. There are lots of nice little touches to make it special. it’s more private than a b&b and very peaceful and quiet. The king size bed is super comfy. The host is also friendly and helpful.
It was such a peaceful and beautiful place to be. views out of the room were a delight to wake up to. twin room was lovely, massive amount of storage. great size bathroom and shower. I cannot believe my luck that I managed to book a stay here. I also can’t recommend it enough.
The bed was huge and very comfortable. The room was quiet. All newly refurbished. Lovely bathroom. Food good too.
We had a big room with adjoining single room and en-suite. Loads of space and great views. The bed was wide and super comfy, and it was so quiet and peaceful. Bathroom was new, good shower and all very clean. Sitting room for guests with TV and lots of sofas downstairs. Breakfasts were lovely - cereal, fruit toast and full Scottish!
