The host Caroline was wonderful and spoke a little English which made live a lot easier during our stay. The breakfast was laid out for us in the morning and was fit for a king. We would go back here again during any visit to the south of France we may make in the future. The location was so peaceful and with the river running through the back garden, it made the start of our week worth while.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The garden and pool were a magnificent to wind down after a long drive. Very kid friendly as well. Dinner and breakfast were good.

This beautiful chateau was located at the end of a tree lined lane in pastoral Challuy. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were spacious, clean and well-appointed. Before our arrival, we requested the table d'hôte dinner and were very glad we did. We enjoyed a delicious fine dining experience on our private terrace overlooking the grounds of the estate. The breakfast was also amazing and served upon our arrival in the dining room. Overall, it was an indulgent, relaxing and romantic stay, and we appreciated our amazing and helpful hosts. Highly recommend!

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the bed and breakfast free of charge. Nevers Cathedral is 39 km from the bed and breakfast. A bit out of the way, but well worth the detour. We had both and evening meal (Michelin star standard!) and continental breakfast, as good as any I've had anywhere. The hostess was superb and couldn't be more helpful. All food where possible was locally sourced.

Heinz offered to watch a Euro 2024 game with us and cooked diner for us in between. He was also very flexible so we could watch the whole game. Dinner was in a quiet and cosy setting and Heinz ate some cheese with us afterwards. The room and especially the bed were extremely comfortable, perfect after a day of traveling. The house is surrounded by a magnificent garden which brings a lot of peace and calmness.

When I arrived at Chateau de la Villeneuve Isabelle welcomed me personally and introduced me to the property and to my room. I appreciated her kindness and her wish for me to feel "at home". The room was spacious and at a very comfortable temperature considering it was one of the hottest day at 35 degrees. A few days before I arrived I contacted Isabelle to check if they served diner.She sent me immediately the menu she proposed for diner with local products. The table was set for me on the terrace facing the garden and I had an excellent diner with fresh products and local specialties. It was a delicious 4 course meal (including cheese) and good value for money at 25 euros. I felt like staying at friends house in a splendid well maintained and with all comfort large 18th century house. I recommend to anyone looking for a true French experience.
