There are a number of activities near Chateau de Grunstein including golf and hiking. Colmar is 40 km away and Mulhouse is a 1-hour drive away. The Wine Road is a 2-minute drive from the property, while Strasbourg is a 30-minute drive away. The room included bedroom, bathroom and living room. It was so spacious! The bathroom had both bath and shower. Everything was clean. The location itself is gorgeous: the building is furnished and decorated in a traditional way, it is very quiet and surrounded by a huge garden, and parking area is big. The owners were very nice and welcoming. All the products they serve are home-made or anyway supplied by local producers. Breakfast is very good, and I appreciated the morning ambiance with the fire in the fireplace.

Our breakfast was delightful every morning and the service was exceptional, along with the food! Our last morning we had an early departure to catch a flight, and the kitchen packed up a wonderful assortment of fruit charcuterie and bread, even butter ready to travel with us. The room offered good space and we appreciated the separate toilet and bathtub, and my son absolutely loved his loft. Super soft carpet and very comfy beds with no road noise even in our street facing room. The front desk was always staffed by someone so helpful- from our late arrival after hours to arranging our car service to the airport. Lastly, Colmar is a fantastic location to visit many other charming, though far smaller, Alsatian towns. Would absolutely return to Maison des Tetes!

A spacious and tidy room with a soft, comfortable bed and clean bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer in a building in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood located conveniently around halfway between the airport and the centre of Basel. There was an in-room breakfast, including some bagels, pastries, juice, milk, tea, coffee, and a neatly arranged selection of jams. Maybe not everybody’s cup of tea, but you certainly won’t stay hungry! The owner was very nice and accommodating.
A beautiful property located conveniently between in the quiet countryside, but not far from Colmar and wine route, with a fast connection to Alsacian and German towns. Lots of parking space incl. chargers for electric cars. Fantastic, big and tastefully furnished rooms. Great, attentive staff. Very good breakfast. Highly recommend for weekend stays if you`re looking for a nice place to calm and relax afer a busy day in the city.
The location: in the middle of French woods and on top of a hill, quiet and peaceful, as you expect from an ancient monastery.
The entire stay from the moment I picked up the keys until we left was perfect. Sophie is a very nice and helpful host, contact with her is very easy, she also speaks excellent English. Apartment with new kitchen equipment, recently renovated, in a quiet and peaceful place. There is also a small terrace where you can sit or have a barbecue. We will definitely want to come back here.
Lovely quiet location which is just what we needed after a day hiking. We had the Burger for dinner on the terrace which was delicious. The breakfast was great, the owners very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a peaceful location.
