The converted church was just sensational. The house provides everything you could possibly need. We loved the fancy antique dishes and serving ware that goes so well with the house. Next time I’d bring something to cook so we could dine on the massive dining table and also bake an apple pie using the apples from the laden apple trees on the property.
A stroll down to Old Kempton Distillery for whisky and gin tastings and lunch was awesome too.
Longford
Located in Longford and only 16 km from Symmons Plains Raceway, Brickendon provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the country house for the convenience of those who stay. The country house features family rooms. It was very charming, unique and you felt like you had stepped back in time. We were greeted by the resident chicken Tuk Tuk and of course, the manager. The friendly manager brought us farm fresh eggs and an ample supply of breakfast food for our stay. The Coachman’s Cottage was in excellent shape for being almost 200 years old. It was the perfect, quiet and lovely stay for our last night in Tassie. Would have liked to stay longer to explore the area.

Great use of space and lots of lovely extras provided. Beautiful gardens.

Wow, this accom was a taste of luxury. Such beautiful rooms. Loved everything. So nice to stay here, really uplifting. The bath was so pretty and room for two. Bed and pillows comfy. Oodles of food included and left in fridge. Fantastic views. The first night was really windy so everything rattled as the wind howled, wild and thrilling. The second night was peaceful and calm, really quiet. Slept well both nights. Honestly, the only place I'd stay in Stanley.
The cottage has some interesting design features: the skylight above the bed and the engraved window between the bedroom and the lounge. it was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The freshly baked bread for breakfast was delicious. it was also very quiet and peaceful being located in the countryside but still accessible to what we needed.
The location was very quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife to observe. There was everything you required while on holidays, even an iron. Having a fire was great as the weather was cool. We enjoyed the surroundings of the cottage with lots of trees and views. Nice spot for bird watching. Should've brought the binoculars.
The house was spacious, right on the ocean’s edge with million dollars views. The master suite is 5 star luxury and we loved the fire place on the deck. The house has every amenity required. If you want a peaceful retreat this is the place to stay...glass of wine on the deck, fabulous views, sound of the sea and quiet!
