The location was fantastic for us. It provided a great base so we could travel and explore Tuscany. The property and it's grounds were beautiful and the use of the pool was very welcoming on hot days. Staff here were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Each morning, breakfast was served on the terrace along with evening meals. Evening drinks and excellent suppers were throughly enjoyed with the views over the hills surrounding Lucca and beyond. The evening menu changed daily, the homemade food was always delicious and served with a good wine list. We would highly recommend this property to stay!

Sadly we only stayed here for one night. The villa was fantastic - lovingly restored by the owners father the rooms were luxurious with comfy beds and there’s a great view of Pisa from the breakfast terrace. There’s a pizza restaurant in walking distance and Pisa is just a 15min drive away. The hosts were lovely and were quick to answer any questions we had. Would definitely recommend Villa Alta.

This is a really wonderful hotel, we went early July 2023 and it was very quiet and peaceful. We had no issues booking spa treatments, getting sun loungers or using the restaurants or bar. There's a really beautiful walk up behind the hotel with amazing views. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I would say the restaurant and bar food menus are very expensive - we paid EUR15 for 3 small scoops of gelato one night which left me quite annoyed. I would return to this hotel if we go back to Pisa.
