The grounds of the Villa were beautiful with a spectacular view of Orvieto. The room was spacious, very clean, and well equipped: we appreciated the beautiful view, AC, and the modern smart TV setup. The host Giulio was helpful and friendly, and thanks to his tips we could arrange a couple of great meals and experiences in the area. The pool area was also fantastic: each room had a dedicated parasol and lounge chairs, and we could enjoy the fresh Italian breakfast there.

Surrounded by greenery, Podere Sette Piagge is just outside the historic centre and offers a shuttle to Orvieto Train Station 1 km away. Its garden includes a pool, fruit trees and vegetable patch.

As a getaway, Misia likely has few equals. Giorgio appears to treat all his guests like family and is unselfish with his time. We can away refreshed and happy, vowing to return in May when the bloom and perfume of more than 500 rose bushes will greet us.

Casale di Romaella is a dream holiday destination, in fact it has all the required features: from its ideal location (out of the way but not far from stores or historical places), the excellent staff (Patrizio and Jacopo fulfilled all the guest's expectations, in fact we felt like we were on vacation with family). The house is clean and well-equipped, it is also rare to have such a huge area where each guest can find his own corner and relax freely. The only disadvantage is that the pool is a bit cold (from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius) which, given the winds in Umbria, makes it impossible to swim after dark (the owner informed us that he was going to install solar panels to heat the water). The whole area of the property was carefully cleaned every day (discreetly at dawn), and some mornings there were wines on the table as a gift. We can wholeheartedly recommend this location as a reliable and worthy visit. It is well worth the price.
