The property is in the middle of a private reserve surrounded by nature. It’s very peaceful and quiet. We’ve seen lots of animals and birds while sitting on the terrace of our cabin. Perfectly located for all the activities, very friendly and helpful staff. We didn’t want to leave.

Christina was a great host - very helpful and good communication. The location is perfect if you want to be somewhere peaceful, close to the forest and not too far from town but not a good place if you want to be very easy walking distance to town (took me 30-40mins and tricky in the dark). The place was extremely clean and tidy and I loved being among the trees! The facilities are not luxurious but it was great for what I wanted :) would definitely go back!

We liked the deck and the breakfast nook. Breakfast was good. It was quiet and peaceful. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was just a short walk to town.

The owner Marcella looked after us very well, she met us at the house and explained how everything works. She gave us her mobile number so that we could stay in contact and answered our questions promptly. Monteverde House is lovely and in a peaceful location with wonderful views. We even saw a Toucan from the property! The house is close to two parks for bird watching tours.

- The accommodation is quietly located in the countryside. You can watch lots of birds. If you are prepared for insects, you won't be in for a nasty surprise. - The finca is close to the town center and everything is within walking distance. - The host would also organize tours for those who wish. - When it is windy, the rooms and the common room are very draughty and it gets slightly cold at night. The host provides extra blankets for this.
