Lighting was very good, pleasant garden front and rear, outside seating, quiet neighbourhood, ample parking and convenient location for the Forest of Dean. Note: Very narrow road access, slope up to property from parking and steep up to the top of the garden okay for us but unsuitable for small children or guests with mobility issues.

The cottage was really well equipped and very cosy and comfortable. There was a lovely plate of freshly baked scones with jam and cream to welcome us. Also, the owners had provided all those little extras that it's so easy to forget. Everything was lovely and clean and in good order, and the beds were very comfy. The village of St Briavels was lovely, with a friendly pub, which was 5 minutes walk from the cottage. We were able to do some great walking from the cottage door, and didn't need to use our cars all weekend. We would very happily stay here again next time we find ourselves in this beautiful part of the country.

We had a fantastic stay over Easter. The accomodation was lovely and beautiful and facilities were well equipped, we had everything we need. It was a plus that there is a cafe so closed by and the English breakfast and afternoon tea scones there were delicious. Owner Dave was very kind, hospitable and welcoming and ensuring we have a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend to everyone who's visiting Gloucestershire.

This cottage was beautiful, I stayed as I was working close by. it was well decorated and sympathetic to the age of the building, the stairs are steep with a bespoke handrail, but it's a very old building (well before building control ruined QUIRKY HOMES). It is everything you would want from a vintage building, a butler sink in the kitchen to the Massive log burner in the living room. 3 great sized bedrooms and spacious modern bathroom. There is a narrow drive to get to the property that you can unload and then park in the street. I had no issues with parking even though it has a few steep hills. The garden looked great and was having work carried out, what they had done looked great, can't wait to see it when it is complete. please forward me some pics... We had read the reviews about the WIFI so was prepared for this, my work colleague preferred the front bedroom as this gave him better connection. And we only lost TV signal once all evening. Host was super helpful, and prefers that if you leave any thing she would prefer Ice-cream in the freezer than onions and tomatoes in the fridge. 😁😁😁 Looking forward to rebooking with my wife later this year.
