Kilmelfort
Situated in Kilmelfort in the Argyll and Bute region, this resort has a number of holiday homes each with stunning loch/sea views and many of the units have saunas and log fires. The accommodation is 28 km from Oban, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. Staff was amazing and helpful and the location is just absolutely unbeatable! The surroundings are incredibly good for hiking and the patio is great.
Oban
Melfort Village is set in a lochside location, 24 km from Oban. Furnace is 23 km away.
The units include a dining/seating area with a satellite flat-screen TV. There is also a kitchen, equipped with an oven, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a dishwasher. There is a private bathroom with a hairdryer in each unit. Bed linen is provided.
The cottage was great - light, roomy, quiet and comfortable with wonderful views. The facilities: pool, games room, play areas were a bonus and the staff were all, without exception, friendly and very helpful.

The hosts and staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Clean,relaxing and peaceful haven in a cozy thatched cottage. Lovely scenery and wildlife to enjoy and wake up to. Well equipt kitchen, comfy kingsized bed and the spa bath was a great touch in the on suite bathroom. Welcome pack and bottle of wine were also a lovely touch. Oban and other places of interest are all within driving distance. Owners left plenty of information about places to visit as well as recommendations on bars and restaurants etc in and around Oban. Would love to go back again.
The most wonderful of locations , a very comfortable and well furnished cabin with views over sheep fields, the coast and distant islands . Idyllic to sit in the hot tub looking out to sea. Catherine was incredibly helpful, offering help to warm up the hot tub, free fresh eggs , detergent for washing and even offering to post back a cable we had left behind . Highly recommended .
The lady at the réception was super nice, and very welcoming. The hot tub and sauna are very appeciable After a day of hiking. The waiter at the restaurant was also very nice ! Really recommand this hotel, super cosy place.
The hotel is very charming and welcoming. It has wonderful character and our "suite" accommodation was absolutely gorgeous. The accommodation is located a short walk from the main hotel, attached to their holiday cottages, in a beautiful setting by the riverside. The food in the hotel bar-restaurant was also wonderful! The location in the lovely village of Luss, on the shores of Loch Lomond, is superb.
Lovely helpful staff kept in touch by email before our stay to prepare for our visit. Beautiful holiday cottage in an extremely scenic setting, which felt very homely and was well-equipped. The wood fire was easy to use and atmospheric, and logs/kindling were conveniently provided for a small additional fee. Very family-friendly, with option to borrow a cot, stair gate, etc. The restaurant was relaxed and cosy and served delicious food in an informal way.
The lodge was cosy and comfortable and absolutely spotless. We had everything we needed for a short weekend break and the wee welcome basket was a lovely touch. There was a log burning fire, but we didn't need it as the cabin was warm enough without it. We even had to open the French door at one point to let some of the heat out. The location is stunning, and the lodge is right on the river, which provides a lovely background noise. We even had a wee visit every morning from Rusty, the red squirrel which never failed to make us smile.
Great cottage in a beautiful location. The sauna and hot tub were great extras. Plenty of fresh towels and spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again
