The chalet provides lake views and an outdoor fireplace. We were unlucky to get bad weather but with clear skies the view would have been exceptional. Property is right on the lake and too quiet. Amenities are basic but it has what is needed. Please note that if you are booking igloo, do check that you are comfortable with the washroom arrangements. The property is far away from town and a car is very much required. This property is a experience, just wish we had better weather and luck with northern lights to enjoy it more.

The Science Center Pilke is within 1.5 km of the holiday home. Quiet location, very easy walk to a supermarket, and extremely cosy place to sleep. 30 minute walk to town or easy taxi ride using Uber or similar local apps (or the taxi rank by McDonalds). There's a great kitchen which helps reduce eating out costs which can be steep in Rovaniemi for a family, and an excellent shower. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property without reservation.

It is situated 1.7 km from Santa Claus Village - Christmas House and provides private check-in and check-out. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The guesthouse was spotlessly clean, well decorated, modern and had everything that we needed for our stay. The owners really have thought of everything, there were toys and books for the children to play with, shampoo conditioner etc, towels and hairdryer, heated shoe rack all provided and there’s lots of storage. Location wise it is in a quiet culdesac 10 minute taxi from Rovaniemi centre and the airport and 5 minutes in a taxi to SCV with the main window looking out across the woods and space outside the property for the kids to play. We ordered food from a delivery service and they managed to find us easily. Tommi was easily contactable at all times, he came to meet us when we arrived at the guesthouse and when we had an issue (we couldn’t work the shower) and he came straight over to show us how to operate it. Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend this place to everyone and we won’t hesitate to come back.

The idea of a glass hut is quite romantic and the room was made cozy. The shared lodge is cute and warm. The staff is very responsive and helpful.
The kindness of the hostess above all, the wild surroundings, the traditional sauna (with cold bath!), the simple yet cozy cabin, the fact that you can borrow snowshoes and skis, and the night sky views! We stayed one night and would have happily extended it if we had had the flexibility!
The location was fantastic. The cabin lodge was very warm and cosy. Sauna was great. Comfy beds, very clean all around. Parking next to the cabin lodge.
Highly recommend this accommodation. Very quiet and private, comfortable furniture and great sauna with an option to go ice swimming or swimming in the lake. Very friendly home owner! In winter, the fireplace creates an amazingly cozy atmosphere, which creates a perfect experience while staying there. Beautiful nature all around the cottage. We will gladly stay there again, if we are in the area.
Everything was fantastic, David is a fantastic host, very helpful and kind! The location is amazing, not far from Rovaniemi and only 30mins walking from the Santa's Village. The cottage is cozy and clean. The fireplace and the sauna are the cherry on top of everything
Idyllic location directly on the lake. Cozy igloo. The cottage has a small bathroom with sauna. The selection at breakfast was great. Hanne and Marko were friendly and very helpful hosts.
A cozy cabin in lovely surroundings, it made for an idyllic winter get away. It was amazing to get the opportunity to plunge into the frozen lake after the sauna. Having access to snow shoes and fishing gear made the winter experience all the more enjoyable.
Paula was very kind and communicative, emailing me lots of recommendations for booking activities and plans in advance of my reservation. The cottage was cozy, charmingly decorated and well equipped. The view was beautiful and peaceful. The sauna was a nice touch! Bus stop is very close.
We stayed in a Nordic Cottage, which we loved. It was very spacious, had beautiful high ceilings, a cozy fireplace and its own sauna. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food quality was very good. One out of 4 hotels we stayed at in Finland, having a proper espresso machine (included in the buffet breakfast). We missed the gym/fitness, but it's generally applicable for most accommodations I looked at in Lapland.
