The Stone Cottage - Bruny Island features an outdoor fireplace and a picnic area. This was so far the most amazing place I have ever been in my life, in the world. The house is huge and has everything you need for the perfect stay. The fireplace made our night so cozy in a crispy winter night. We were surrounded by nature and wildlife. Kangaroos were literally eveywhere around the house, the kids could not stop staring at the windows. We feel so blessed to have booked this house.

The property was in an immaculate condition and such a beautiful setting. Linda had kindly provided us with lots of food and other supplies (e.g. matches, tin foil, coffee pods, laundry powder, fresh eggs, bread), which enhanced our stay. As well as the bath, we utilised the fire pit (wood supplied) and the BBQ too. It was quite a treat to explore the island and bushwalk each day, then return to, and enjoy, the property each evening.

It’s very cozy, giving “Evermore” vibes for sure. And the staff members were so lovely, they prepared the fireplace before our arrival. After a long day of hiking in the rain and wind, nothing compares to a warm cabin!

The cabins were cosy, nice fireplace & amongst the bushland setting.
The historical cottages oozing character - all individually themed, both romantic and cosy atmosphere, log burning open fireplace (wood provided), cleanliness, thoughtful touches such as complimentary port, cheese & crackers, generous breakfast hamper provided daily (if required).
The whole experience was awesome. The location was fantastic - straight across from the visitors' centre where the shuttle departs. The cottage was extremely comfortable with everything you could need, including a brilliant indoor fireplace to keep us warm and cosy. Great kitchen facilities so we didn't have to leave the comfort of the cabin to cook dinner. The cabins were spaced far enough apart to give lovely privacy and so many windows to admire the scenery.
Lovely cottage with great ambience. Nice cosy room with fireplace, comfortable lounge, good kitchen. Very quiet and private. Would stay there again if I was in Strahan.
We loved our stay at maylands lodge. Incredible old heritage building that has had a thoughtful renovation! Spacious cosy room with fire place, excellent bathroom and comfortable bed. The lodge was calm, romantic and exactly what we needed to unwind. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Hobart!
Beautiful cottage. Very peaceful. Fireplace made it very cozy and romantic.
Our host was most charming and helpful. He had our room all warmed up ready for our arrival, let us know everything we needed to know about the facilities, provided excellent recommendations about nearby restaurants (Room for a Pony - best breakfast ever) and provided us with a pass for free parking in the street just outside the lodge. It was a lovely room with a cottage garden just outside.
