This place was amazing and so peaceful. I’d love to go again some other time. It was a little difficult to find but the host made sure to direct me until I got there safely.

Great location - just off the main road but feels like you're out in the countryside. We were lucky to be there on a Friday evening - I can recommend popping down to the Knoll Stone Barn for warm fires, live entertainment and great pizzas - this was a fantastic surprise and saved us having to leave the farm to find dinner.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
We were very pleased with our stay at Michells Cottages. THe owner kept in constant contact with us.
The property was just off the N3 and close to the Hilltion hospital which is exactly what we wanted.
the Room was very large even with a double bed and single bed. There was safe off road parking too.
The BnB was absolutely charming. The attention to detail with regards to amenities, crockery, cutlery and personal hygiene products was above and beyond. Fresh fluffy new white towels and large shower was a bonus. Plenty of fresh milk for tea and coffee in the fridge, yogurt muesli and rusks for breakfast in the cottage as well as the option of a full English breakfast served personally by the BnB hosts was delicious. I would definitely recommend Equestre BnB to fellow travellers.
A Beautiful lodge hidden away in Pietermaritzburg. Our accommodation in the Boat House was cosy, warm and very comfortable. The supper and breakfast was amazing. Will definitely be back
This cosy, well-appointed cottage has wonderful views of the forest at the back. The area is quiet & serene and highly recommended. Hosts are friendly & heloful. Would certainly stay here again. We loved the birdlife in the trees as well as the buck grazing near the back fence.
Had a lovely stay with my two daughters. Was only for the one night while in town for a school function. The host was very friendly, and the cottage was super cozy and well equipped with everything I needed. They even left chocolates and cappuccino for us in the rooms.
I loved everything about the place, it different from most lodges in the province. It explores our heritage in KZN - the designs of the huts in & out were great, and having nature breath in its space was unspeakable. It felt like home!
