Willow cabin was very clean and in a great location. It was close enough to town to have easy access. But far enough away to have a relaxing get away.

LOVED this lodge. I stayed at 7 locations across Alaska, this was the best by far.
Perfect location, homely common area with books and a TV etc, SUPER comfortable beds, cabins felt so cosy, fun Alaskan themed decor made it feel like a home and not just a hotel; the staff went out of their way to allow us to check in very late by leaving a friendly personalised note. You can wander down to the banks of the Susitna River to the most spectacular Denali view.
Cannot recommend this Lodge enough!
Private room was cozy and warm, with everything one needs. The private bathroom was right next door. The living room had a true explorer feeling to it, with a fireplace, travel books, a table with scrabble and a puzzle being commonly solved, and with National Geographics goong back to the ‘80s. Also the breakfast was lovely, with the Chef personally waiting on us.
The location was great and the cabin was comfortable and cozy. Just some things to note are:
- bed seemed smaller than a queen size bed
- blinds are not blackout blinds (in case that's an issue while sleeping during summers)
The cabin is nestled in the woods, not too far from the town center but more convenient to drive to. The bed is comfortable. I really enjoy the fireplace with automatic switch in the room, it's so nice to sit by a crackling fire. However, the bathroom lacks privacy, it would be even better if a door could be installed for separation.
Our cabin was so cosy and very clean. Just a short walk in to the little village of Talkeetna. Don, our host was kind enough to drive us up to another lodge the next morning, where we had to board a coach for the next leg of our journey.
