My husband and i stayed here in late August and the Cabin was roomy,clean and the bed was comfortable.The cabin had everything to make our stay great Don the owner was very friendly and hospitable.
The cabins are in walking distance from the Talkeetna railroad and about a 8 min walk into the centre of town.We liked that there was a resturant open from breakfast lunch & dinner right next door.
We would definately stay here again.

Great place- spacious, comfortable, with everything you might need. It was in the middle of our Alaska trip and a great spot to get some relaxation, much needed. Easy walk to the town or the train, but the owner was also super nice and offered to drive us to the train station. I would stay again without hesitation.

Small, quirky, artsy town worth your time! Just 13 miles off the main highway, and so much good food!!! Mountain High Pizza Pie, The Salmon Spot, and Roadhouse morning cinnamon rolls, to name a few. Great local shops as well. Would DEFINATELY stay there again!

Talkeetna is beautiful place. Perfect blend of old and modern. Every establishment I visited had friendly people. Whether it is an airplane flight to white water rafting Talkeetna will not disappoint.

Talkeetna is a tiny "town", we loved it for 2 nights - no action - peaceful.
We took a zipline excursion one day and panned for gold the next - ate out each meal - came in on the train & left on the bus - not a lot of time to get bored, was with a large family group.

We came for the AK dog sled tours, which I would highly recommend. We enjoyed the town of Talkeetna too. Small but has good food. Easy to drive and park. Nice to have free parking after coming from Anchorage. Also a train depot here, which we took advantage of.

Talkeetna was a great location to stay in, it was easy to see why it's rated as one of the top ten small villages in Alaska. Locally run small stores , restaurants, and bars. Not all locations open when we stayed for 5 nights in May but the village was beginning to wake from its slumbers. I would recommend that you try the Flying Squirrel for breakfast or lunch, and the Denali brew pub for a drink.
Our accommodation at the Denali fireside cabins and suites was clean, comfortable and warm. The owner Don was a great guy who was quick to help with any questions or requests we had. I would have been happy to stay longer, but my flight back to Scotland was calling !!

Extremely small little town , mile high pizza was awesome, took Mahay jet boat to gorge , was long but worth it ( 16 people only but could hold 50 definitely would have been different if full. Buses of day trippers come 9-5 . So best to take hikes , go fly fishing then hit Mike high pizza for some local brews and listen to music , then walk to end of road and look at mountains if clear view is awesome until midnight. Bring a chair.
When we arrived, we met amazing people from California who welcomed us in, the ambiance was very homey and the cabin was wonderful, if we ever return to Alaska, Dave’s will be a must for us to stay at, thanks Dave for bringing the kid out of me again and having that feeling of enjoying myself, my wife enjoyed the out door hunting lodge feel... if your someone who wants to bring the wife with you and enjoy the outdoors, give Dave’s a try you won’t be disappointed....👍
I absolutely love the Roadhouse! It's a must stay when you're passing through Talkeetna. Bed was extremely comfortable, the overall vibe of the entire home is comforting/welcoming/relaxing. vintage goods in every nook and cranny. Trisha was accommodating, replied quickly with any questions, and went above and beyond. Her famous breakfast is a MUST, worth every penny!
The lodge is an excellent place to stay overnight when driving from Anchorage to Denali. Shuttle service to/from center of Talkeetna was very convenient. There are many common areas with beautiful views of the Alaskan mountain range. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. Parking was easy. We had a wonderful stay.
We loved the setting. The cabin is situated on a small lake which is so peaceful and quiet. There was a family of loons on the lake and they enchanted us. We ate our meals outside in this beautiful setting every day. We used the row boat provided and we able to explore the lake. Talkeetna is just a 15 minute drive away
Location, staff, amenities - everything and everyone there were fantastic! Cabins were well stocked, very comfortable and clean. The sound of the river was so nice to enjoy. We absolutely loved our time there - it was the best place we stayed while in Alaska by far, and in my opinion, also the best in Talkeetna!
The Talkeetna Roadhouse was exceptional value for clean, well-supplied and well-organized accommodation. Trisha has carefully planned for all her guests’ needs. Laundry, transport from the train station, coffee and tea supplies were all readily provided for. Location was perfect.
Our cabin was so cosy and very clean. Just a short walk in to the little village of Talkeetna. Don, our host was kind enough to drive us up to another lodge the next morning, where we had to board a coach for the next leg of our journey.
The folks running Dave's were lovely, friendly and accomodating. The cabin was cute on the outside, set back in the bush with a little deck. There was a nice, shared area around the fire pit. Just about 10 minutes out of Talkeetna.
The beds were like clouds and the pillows were the best In alaska. They had everything you needed. The finishing touches were great for example blow dryer, full size coffee pot, makeup wipes and more. Beautiful paths to walk.
Very comfortable studio cabins - best bed we've slept on after coming out of travel for work accomodations in the past two months. Also much appreciated Rodney for communication and resolution of a propane availability issue!
Location is good, very close to the main street of Talkeetna. Also very close to the river, where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset with Denali in the background. That was the best part of the inn.
The bed was so nice!!! The cabin was so clean and it had everything we needed! The dark window shade Travis's mom made were the best we saw in Alaska. The fire place was a great spot to gather
Beautiful cottage which was perfectly decorated and had so many nice extras. These included robes, slippers, books, DVDs, Alaska travel brochures, a fan, and so much more!! Truly a gem!!
