Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Jam Lodge is the perfect choice for a stay in Freetown. Conveniently located, it has all necessary amenities: Clean, spacious rooms with a/c, comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom, fridge microwave etc. Surprisingly, my room was the quietest I ever had in Salone. Staff is friendly, a good breakfast is served on the balcony and Wi-Fi works well. And you can pay with credit card which I found extremely helpful.
- Charming location close to the airport
- superfriendly and helpful staff
- 24/7 AC, electricity and water supply - really
unique in Lungi/Freetown apart from the luxury
resorts
I had the pleasure of staying at this charming guest house for a night, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. I had a restful night's sleep and awoke to a beautiful breakfast. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Best hotel we stayed at in Sierra Leone. Great location, well equipped rooms with good AC. The best thing about the hotel though is the staff. The hotel manager was amazing. We had some problems with our PCR test prior to departure and she helped us out a great deal to fix it. We also had some very nice and interesting conversations with her and other members of staff. We can wholeheartedly recommend staying at Stafford Lodge!
The locations is exceptionally great, a quiet area, and the lodge is next to what I call a “lonely beach”. Neighbours are friendly and will ensure your safety as you explore the neighbourhood. One of the neighbours kindly took time out to take us to the beach. Later on a Sunday, he offered to meet us at the beach, provided chairs and company to enjoy a light lunch and drink while listening to music at a locally built hut. What an experience.
