For us the location was great as we wanted to visit the Sculptureum and Morris & James. Matakana Market was nice & local. There was a superb pizza place nearby for takeaway pizza.

Everything about this trip was exceptional. Both the hosts Rudi and Debbie were great and very hospitable. Definitely recommend it one hundred percent.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.

Comfortable place to explore a great region with plenty to do nearby. Beaches, vineyards, restaurants etc. Lovely to get up and go for a walk in the countryside after breakfast. Wood fire was really nice too.
Peaceful large farm environment with good vibes, we chose to stay in the roomy charming cabin, everything you need is supplied including breakfast, most enjoyable stay in the centre of a beautiful farm, plenty to see, be amazed, definitely recommend,
The cottage is located in a lovely countryside setting. Sheep come to say hello everyday day and we even got to feed them! The cottage itself was immaculate and feels fresh and new. Rudi is a great host and provided everything we needed, as well as local recommendations for our a stay. This was a perfect fit for a long weekend to relax outside Auckland.
Having such a spacious, cozy cabin with all the little details catered for. Being private an extra bonus as well as the beautiful garden. Enjoyed the fire and the peacefulness.
We stayed in the cottage. It was spacious, the bed was fantastically comfortable and the little extras were amazing. A beautiful continental breakfast each day, beautiful drinking water, excptional hot water for showers and amazing stars at night. Highly recommended!! Try the wonderful roast dinners from Ready Roast in Wellsford...the medium for $27 fed the two of us with plenty to spare!!
