For us the location was great as we wanted to visit the Sculptureum and Morris & James. Matakana Market was nice & local. There was a superb pizza place nearby for takeaway pizza.

The owner/operator is friendly and personable. Nothing was a problem to her and the rural location is both private and peaceful. The unit was clean, well-equipped and comfortable and the price was very reasonable for the standard of accommodation.

We were given ample amount local foods which was enough for the breakfast for two people. The property was clean and maintained well. We will be back again soon...
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
All the amenities were available for our group to do self-catering, yet we were only 15 mins away from Matakana if we needed anything extra. We did bring our own breakfasts, but there were plenty of breakfast options available for us to use. The beds were super comfortable and the three couples in our group had the privacy of own rooms so on-one felt hemmed in. House felt warm and cozy with decorative artworks on the walls. A great facility for a family group, I hope to stay again in the future.
Location was perfect & the outlook was amazing. A well appointed holiday home with 3 double bedrooms & 2 bathrooms with underfloor heating and gas heating in the lounge which made our stay cosy & warm.
We had a beautiful stay at the cottage, in sun or rain this place is beautiful and charming. A lot of love and care has been put in this place, and we deeply appreciated it, plus the attention to detail was so amazing.
Perfect breakfast left in our cottage that was adequate for the 3 days: artisan bread, gravlax preserves & healthy muesli & blue berries.
We appreciated the absolute peace and quiet and the serene views out to see and bush.
We appreciated being left alone to enjoy the private accommodation well away from the owners house. Our beach visits to Tawharanui park each afternoon a highlight.
A wonderful experience in an idyllic setting with outstanding attention to detail. We also really appreciated Alyson's unique and truly beautiful works of art.
Loved it👌
our host’s Katherine and John were charming. it is a beautiful property. Despite the rain during most of our stay it was a very serene place to unplug and unwind in extremely peaceful surroundings. The brekkie provisions were great too!
