HUGE appreciation for the spotless and welcoming atmosphere of this beautiful home. The shower was a HUGE BLESSING plus 2 toilets & the kitchen area was spacious with everything we needed. Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Everything was wonderful. Charming hosts, beautiful characterful property, lovely room and bathroom. We had large wonderful continental breakfast with home-baked goods, lots of fruit, eggs, fruit juice, yoghurt, lovely bread etc. And we were able to have an early breakfast both mornings to fit in with our travel plans.
There was no A/C but it is a heritage property so we didn’t mind at all - and a large fan was provided in the room that was perfectly adequate
Love this place, quiet countryside, hospitable hosts, on a farm so animals around including alpacas who run to receive supplied food supplies.
The cottage has everything you need and then some.
Thoroughly recommend to anyone who would like a place to recharge, relax and roam. 😊
Omaka Lodge is outstanding. We can see why it is so well known and highly recommended by so many. The accommodation is 6 star, the location glorious, and the owners and hosts of Omaka Lodge are the best we have ever met in New Zealand. You could not be anything but overjoyed with staying here. In mid-winter, it was warm and cozy, beautifully warm, delicious breakfasts and welcoming afternoon tea with home baking. The wonderful owners could not have been more welcoming.
Cottage is cosy with a superb vista of rolling green hills, sheep and alpacas! Minimal vehicle traffic and no streetlights shining in the window at night.
Charming cottage, very comfortable with loads of sun and walks close by. We chose it randomly as a quick stop. Next time we'll stay a little longer and enjoy the ambience. It's good value for money. The owner has carefully chosen the lovely decor to be calming and to fit in with the country environment.
We really loved the entire package. The cottage was cosy in a lovely setting. A lot of are was put into this cottage and we had everything that we could want. The added breakfast was delicious and abundant We would definitely stay here again!
