When we drove into the village, we were met with a tulip field, right next to the house. Couldn't have asked more for the location.

Our host was very friendly, helpful and took account of when our flight arrival and departure times were. The flat was clean, had all the facilities we needed and was an easy bus ride from central Amsterdam. The flat is situated in a pleasant neighbourhood which has a range of restaurants, shops and cafes. For us, we liked to see other parts of the city and experience living with local residents so this was ideal.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The house is ideally located on a small street in the charming town of Edam. The property is an annex to the main house but separate. You can sit by the waterside surrounded by lovely plants. The hosts are very charming and helpful. The area is fantastic for biking and exploring. Really good restaurants within walking distance, good value too.
Lovely and tidy white room, tastefully furnished, with a view over the quiet beauty of the landscape. Rare birds, wildfowl, two sweet tame rabbits. Charming, yet unobtrusive and uncomplicated host. I loved it and will come back.

Breakfast was good and our host was always there in the morning to ensure we were happy. Dinner was surprisingly good, a delicious meal, well served. Our bedroom was small but had everything we needed and our dog was made very welcome.
Edam is a charming town which we enjoyed exploring and we always found a free parking space on the street near to the hotel, to our surprise. Maybe not in high season but we were happy.
In German language there is an adjective "gemütlich" that means very cozy, comfortable, nice and pleasant. I'd like to say that the whole family was highly appreciated to stay in the hotel. We were advised to taste local wine, we got excellent remarks. The restorant has very good quality kitchen and typical Dutch interior with wonderful views on the channel. Charming stay.

The Hotel is in the Centre and it is very convinient to expore the village from there.
We had a room for 4 with one double bed and a bunk bed. It was small but cosy.
There was a Kettle with Tea and offee in the room.

Nice hotel in the charming city of Edam. We booked a family room for 4 but there was a mix-up and the gave us two separate rooms of 2, for the same price.
Rooms are cosy, bedding is of good quality. Everything was clean. Very quiet at night.
