Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
IT is located next to a lake. When we arrived, there were wild water buffalos in front of the cabin. There are also lots of beautiful birds and monkeys So IT is great to sit out on the balcony and watch nature.
The host prepares great breakfast, there are dishes to choose from, hé alsó provides juice and fruits.
IT is easy to find a tuk-tuk tó travel to the cabin or the owner helps to get around.
There are so many things to see in Polonnarwa, IT is possible to rent a bike from the host.
There are also wonderful day trips.
Nisha, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly. Always with a smile on her face and perfectly helpful. Very cosy to sit around the front porch. Rooms were clean and beds firm. Also, Snowy the puppy is an absolute cutie.
Beautiful location in a garden with fruit trees and flowers. Our hosts were a very charming family. We ate delicious breakfast and dinners on the balcony.
Guest accommodation upstairs and private, my sister and I had two very good rooms facing onto the garden.
Close enough to ride bikes ( provided) to the Ancient City.

Lovely rustic cabin on the edge of one of the main lakes (tanks) of the island. Convenient for the local cultural ruins and the town.
Charming and helpful host looked after us and provided an excellent breakfast. He even can provide bicycles to help you get around.
The location right in front of the lake was amazing. We could see fireflies in the evening and it was really quiet. We also enjoyed the beeakfast. The check in was really flexible, we could even rent bikes for exploring the ancient city which was amazing. The cabin itself was clean and cosy. If we have had more time we would have definetely stayed longer.
I loved this cabin: it's cozy and clean and has a wonderful veranda overlooking the lake. The owner is very helpful and serves a great dinner and breakfast
The service at the hotel was excellent. They made milk rice on our request and it was amazingly delicious. The breakfast menus are good with varieties of options to choose from. Although smaller than anticipated, the cabin was still clean and comfortable.
The location of the Lake Cabin is perfect. The balcony is closely facing the Parakrama Samudraya, which is idyllic and picturesque, with a beautiful setting.
