Nestled amid the beautiful Cornish countryside, between Bodmin and Wadebridge, this charming hotel is beautifully set within a Grade II listed building, dating back to the early 18th century.

Always a friendly welcome at this old house-turned-into-a-hotel. Parking is easy, finding it no problem (just outside Bodmin), rooms clean with windows that open which is good, and comfortable beds. Breakfast smelled good though I didn't have time for it. I was late arriving and they called to check I was still coming, which is good.

The property was very clean and the bed was really comfortable with a good quality mattress. Good mixture of soft and firm. The little sofa was great with the added bonus of foot stools. Place was very quiet and felt very secure with the car being in an undercover car port and double gates closed. Loved the added touches of the welcome basket and free loan of beach equipment (windbreak, buckets and spades, etc). The location was perfect for travelling to local beaches and my favourite place, Padstow. Hosts met us at the gate and said hi if we saw them but didn’t intrude in anyway. Great place for a few days away to recharge the batteries.

We stayed in the Villa which was is outstanding. Antonia gives excellent recommendations for the area and places to eat and drink. Charlestown is an excellent place to stay and the villa was in the heart of Charlestown.

Well appointed, modern, clean and spacious. The place was well decorated, furnished and presented. The welcome pack was much appreciated.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Fabulous to have a swimming pool and sauna. Indoor Space is amazingly designed (and light!), with no space wasted. Very good shower. Love the honesty (‘replace with similar’) wine / beer rack. Bike shed down by the trail another lovely thought. Altogether very thoughtfully put together let! EV charging available.
We enjoyed our stay at Woodland retreat very much. We loved the outside area, sittting in amongst and watching all the nature around us. The cottage was lovely. Very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished, with lots of personal little touches. We especially enjoyed being able to walk, from the doorsatep, into Wadebridge. A lovely little town with many independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
A fantastic place to stay. Our hosts were attentive & nothing was too much trouble. breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed . A beautiful location , with charming hosts. Conveniently located to access everything that cornwall has to offer.
Beautiful country house in excellent location for exploring the villages and beaches near the Camel estuary. Enjoyed sitting out on a warm evening in the garden. Fantastic breakfast and service by Tracy and Jackie. Large bedroom with en-suite bathroom / dressing room with garden.
