Lovely house with a beautiful little garden. Very well equipped (OK Google, play some relaxing music 😊). Quiet and comfortable. The TV room and gym in the basement are great. The rooms are big enough, the beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen has all you need to cook. The living room is warm and cozy. Parking is easy. The supermarket is a 5-minute walk away, there are restaurants nearby, the village is nice and peaceful, and it’s a quick drive to Oadby or Leicester.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The quality of the apartment, from the beds, bathrooms and living room, were excellent. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is a Co-op just across the road for all your self catering needs.
Overall, Redwings Lodge met my expectations and was only a 20 minute drive from my work destination. Breakfast was satisfactory, bed good but pillows I was not a fan - only because I have feather pillows at home.
I liked the size of the room, but if I may suggest a small table and chair to do some work
Just about everything. Debbie is an outstandingly good host. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would strongly recommend The Hollies to anyone visiting Uppingham, which is a charming small town.
Lovely apartment full of character and cosy. Felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. Comfy beds, quality towels and linen. Nice and quiet, loved the ambiance. Ideal for walking into town. Lovely antique shops, cafes and restaurants. Perfect for visiting Rutland water and surrounding area. Would definitely stay again. Owners were away but they were still attentive and helpful.
Absolutely delighted to find this little gem in an idyllic village, so much so that we have already booked again for next year too. Great little pub with rooms, our room was spacious and immaculately clean, with a large bathroom and lovely hot shower. Breakfast was great, and dinner was the best Indian meal I have ever eaten, simply delicious!
The owners/staff were all charming, friendly and courteous at all times and ensured we had a perfect stay (thank you for finding me a phone charger for the weekend when I forgot mine)
absolutely stunning location , rooms very clean and spacious, there was a mix up with booking.com but the owner still accommodated me with a room the staff a warm ,friendly and have a sense of humour a very charming restaurant for family event or occasion but equally adorable for a cozy night with the partner
breakfast was fresh and tasty
Very well located hostel in the Main Street of Uppingham. Cosy and charming rooms, with a courtyard for lunches outside and dining room for lunches inside. Excellent service, great breakfasts. A restaurant that is worth a visit.
I had a lovely stay at the Garden Hotel, which is homely, clean and very comfortable. The building and its surroundings are a treat, being located in Uppingham’s ancient centre, with a beautiful English cottage garden tucked alongside. My breakfast was delicious!
