Great location just under Penshaw Monument, in the middle of the countryside. Very good facilities in the property and very well laid out. Owner even set up a Xmas tree and lights for our stay - a lovely touch. We also made use of the cafe next door - they make an excellent cooked breakfast in the morning.

These brand new lodges are excellent. Durham is a short(ish) walk away - 5 mins in a car. Great for looking around the university and/or relaxing with nature next to the river. I especially like the power shower, the views, the fresh flowers, fruit, wine touches. The overseer James is on hand and can’t do enough.

The room and bathroom very large. The hotel was nice.. the male receptionist was very kind , helpful and friendly.
location excellent, lovely sun rise over the Atlantic. Lots of parking, open and covered! Excellent gym, pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub facilities! Super for walk to restaurants. Staff great, very clean and tidy hotel which I always stay in when I head north!
perfect location on the sea front, walking distance of some lovely food and drinks places, we booked a double room which was very spacious especially for the price, bed was comfortable, shower was powerful, the staff were all so lovely and helpful at reception, bar and spa. we have a few drinks in the bar after visiting the pool/hot tub unfortunately the sauna/steam was not open on this occasion but speaking to other guests that visit often this is a very rare occasion, I couldn’t fault the hotel at all, would stay again

We stay here often and are always pleased with the rooms and the facilities. Breakfast is superb. The swimming pool was open and we spent hours every day in there, really good and hot tub attached with steam rooms etc, sauna.
