The property has been modernised to a great standard and it was close to the sea in a quiet area. The beds and furniture were comfortable and everything was spotless. A good base for sightseeing and seeing glorious sunsets.

Under the Stars Shepherds Huts at Harbors Lake, hotel in Shalfleet

Set within 14 km of Blackgang Chine and 14 km of Osborne House in Newchurch, Under the Stars Shepherds Huts at Harbors Lake offers accommodation with seating area.

We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much we returned this year. This is an ideal location to switch off and disconnect from things and take a good break, slow down and look at the sheep in the field which you can arrange to participate in feeding if you’d like to. An extremely well equipped shepherds hut, with everything thought of and even fresh milk and eggs on arrival. If you have the wet weather would suggest taking a tablet or laptop so you can watch some downloads or TV which we did and were thankful of it on this stay. We hope to return for a third time next year.

Beautiful well presented two bedroom cottage in the quiet village of Shalfleet. Our host couldn’t have been more helpful and made everything as easy as possible for us. Location is excellent, with bus stop just up the road if required and a lovely little village store nearby for supplies. Very highly recommended.

Beautiful peaceful location in the IOW countryside based in a disused railway station - lovely garden to walk in and plenty of cows in nearby fields - a great base to explore the Island from. Very friendly with local knowledge of here to eat etc and plenty of parking. We also liked the emphasis on environmentally friendly practices.

We extended our stay on the Isle of Wight to watch the Tour of Britain (which was sadly cancelled) and the owners were super helpful in letting us relocate our luggage earlier then the scheduled check in which was very much appreciated. The cottage was very cosy, the bed very comfy and we loved the walk in shower. Perfect for a short stay
