The location of Hillview was easy to find and the hosts welcoming, kind and helpful, nothing was too much. The space is comfortable, warm and cosy with a separate kitchette and shower room, the bed was very comfortable and it is peaceful and quiet. The location is perfect for beautifully scenic walks, long or short and St Margaret's beach is 10 minutes walk, a hidden gem, the vastness of the sea is outstanding. I will definitely return to this idilic location and wonderful Hillview.

The room was big, clean and comfy. The bath did have some rough repair work in the tub, but it's very forgivable given the super-low price. Having free use of the swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi was very appreciated. After several long days on the bike, it was great to relax my achy legs. The restaurant was also decent, where I enjoyed an excellent burger for a tenner. For a cheap stay, it provided excellent value for money.

The staff I met were friendly and obliging, the room itself was classic travel lodge style, clean and well presented, and great value for money. We arrived after hours but the check-in by the friendly security team member was straightforward, once we found the hotel and where to check in. Food prices at the adjoining restaurant were reasonable and good value, should you want a breakfast or evening meal. A 15 minute drive to the Dover ferry port, so a handy stopover for anyone going to or returning from the continent.

A delightful and roomy cottage in a quiet village near the main south coast attractions we were intending to visit (Dover Castle, Battle of Britain Museum). There was a great pub next door.

Reasonable room and strong hot shower in room. The resort's nice pool, sauna and jacuzzi weren't too busy at our visit and free to use for Hotel guests. Prompt helpful service from security when we misplaced keycard. The classic Dover Cliffs walk is easily reachable (10 mins on foot to the quieter lighthouse end) from the resort i.e. no need to use the National Trust car park and its ripoff fees.

The location was great easy access to explore the east and south east corner of Kent. The cottage was spacious and is next door to a fantastic village pub with great food.

It was a great place to stay in the countryside but still just up the road from everything you may need as it's just outside of Dover. Ember cottage is so quiet at night so we had a great sleep, it has a well thought out gym, and we had been there a few more days, we probably would have tried the pub food next door as I've heard it's great!.... we will be back again
