The house was really close to Cheddar and we were able to do the caves and gorge walk without driving which made the whole experience a lot simpler. The house was beautiful and the folding doors onto the garden were stunning when opened. Everything was easy to find and use. The information provided by the host was really helpful about the local area.

The hosts were really helpful and attentive. We appreciated the milk and groceries on arrival. and house staples like sugar etc. The main house was nice, very cosy. The price for the house was very reasonable for the amount of rooms. It was great to have the trampoline out the front for our daughter The location was excellent, it was an easy walk to everywhere in the village. It was nice to be a 20 min walk from cheddar ales and the gorge.

Beautifully quiet spot in pretty quiet village. The house was delightful, full of character and beautiful things.! Breakfast, although vegetarian was truly excellent, best fruit salad, and perfectly toasted sour dough toast with a huge variety of preserves, plus great choice of cereals ad muesli. Hosts were warm and welcoming and we had use of the kitchen for drinks. The house was spotless and our room pretty and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for more!

We liked being upgraded to a larger room than the one advertises on Booking.com. Also the property was located within a five minute walk of the town, and opposite the sea front which was ideal for us. Also, we had off road parking.

The lodge was beautiful and was the perfect base for our 2 night stay while visiting cheddar gorge and the surrounding area. Everywhere was very clean and the location is excellent. The views surrounding the lodge are breathtaking! We really enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our toddler to be able to run around and play safely.

Absolutely amazing lodge in a beautiful, idyllic location. The lodge is very spacious and easily accommodated the 3 of us. The surroundings are full of lush, green, rolling hills and waking up every morning to the sound of birdsong and leaves rustling in the wind was such a delight. On top of that it's an excellent price for the stay and worth it 10 times over.

The location was amazing, I loved the pond with all the wildlife in front of the property and the views towards the Mendips. The lodge is spacious, tastefully decorated, well equipped, very private and surrounded by a pretty garden in the far corner of a farm. The friendly duck who came knocking at the back door for a snack was added entertainment.

This is a magnificent little gem of a property set in beautiful, peaceful countryside. The lodge has been thoughtfully and carefully decorated and the overall effect is utterly charming. Everything had been thought of, and the host could not have been more friendly and helpful. I honestly couldn't think of anything negative to say if I tried. Would love to stay again one day.
