An idyllic setting in Newmarket horse country. Christine was an excellent and friendly host. The Shepherds Hut was immaculately clean and had all the facilities you could want for a stay. We had an overnight stay whilst visiting the races and the Hut was ideally located for this. The weather was superb we sat out in the lovely private garden until after midnight in the peaceful countryside. We have stayed in a number of quirky accommodations and this was one of the best. Highly recommended and we would return.

Easy walk into Newmarket, or 2 minute drive. 5 min drive to Exning equine hospital. 5 minute drive to the station. 6 minute drive to Bedford Lodge hotel and spa. Easy walk to supermarket and fish and chip shop. Clean, large 1 bed apartment. Not big enough for 4, even though there is a sofa bed in the living room and large king in the bedroom. Good broadband. Nice desk area. Dining table not really usable, so ate on knees. Host very available if needed. Housekeeping ladies very efficient and polite. Warm and cosy.

Lovely breakfast , all the staff were so good , the room was very clean and comfortable , great pool and hot tub , with steam and sauna all free when we stayed along with a good gym , although it was too hot to use the gym. A small fridge in the room with complementary water in it. Great tea and coffee in the room as well with fresh milk in the fridge.

Very comfortable little cabin. Very clean inside and there was everything needed for a few days stay. All the essentials were provided such as tea, sugar, soaps etc… The cabin is located in a back garden, thus quiet at night. We had very good night sleep. Location is very good, easy access to Cambridge and some of the National trust properties around the area, as well as beautiful countryside and shopping around.

We loved being able to go for a swim and sauna, however we didnt realise that it was open to the public, so it was ruined slightly by a man hogging the hot tub and talking very loudly, for hours.
