Taigh Iasg-Uk30003, hotel in Kingsburgh

Located in Kingsburgh in the Isle of Skye region, Taigh Iasg-Uk30003 has a garden. The property is non-smoking and is set 42 km from Dunvegan Castle.

Staying in this cottage has been one of the highlights of my time in Scotland. So lovingly and thoughtfully prepared, presented and equipped, the hosts have taken great care and attention to detail. On a cold, windy Scottish day, I was able to stay at home in comfort, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding mountains as every room has generous sized windows. It was very private. No contact with hosts was necessary. They left a lovely welcome hamper which was very much appreciated. Thank you! A 16 minute drive to Portree, the location feels lovely and remote but in fact is conveniently located to enable easy explore of the island from both directions. I really loved this accommodation and look forward to returning in future.

Skeabost View Pods Skye, hotel in Kingsburgh

Situated in the countryside of Peiness, Skeabost View Pods Skye features accommodation with a seating area and flat-screen TV. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.

This cozy pod is conveniently located near Portree, offering easy access to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. It's also ideally situated close to many of Skye's must-visit tourist spots, so you'll never be far from the island's natural wonders. The pod itself is impressively well-equipped and absolutely spotless. I was pleasantly surprised by the incredibly fast Wi-Fi, especially for a remote island location—it worked seamlessly throughout our stay. The room is bright and spacious enough to accommodate our mid-sized luggage comfortably. The heating system is excellent, which was a blessing given the chilly weather during our visit. Inside the pod, we stayed warm and comfortable, thanks to the effective heater that created a cozy ambiance. The quality and variety of amenities provided are fantastic and thoughtfully chosen: TV, flashlight, shower towels, soap, toaster, bread, fridge, milk, butter, jam, oats, plates, utensils, mirror, table, and dishwashing liquid—everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The shower warms up instantly, which is a lovely touch for relaxing after a day of exploring. The mattress was also very comfortable, allowing for a restful night’s sleep. The view from the window is simply stunning, adding to the peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would happily rate this pod a 11/10.

Lovely cottage overlooking the water. For the kids the wild rabbits in the garden were fun while the farmer let two young sheep stay in the garden to be hugged. (He asked us parents first ;-). The place was clean, the kitchen had all we needed.

The views from the Old Crofthouse are exceptional. The cottage is cosy and well equipped. Fabulous shower-room and comfortable beds. The owners have gone to a lot of effort to create a helpful guide/app to the cottage and surrounding area.
