We had a lovely week during the late July heatwave. The host Jo greeted us and was lovely. The cottage was clean, the bed was comfy, and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was great for trips inland or to the coast and had a couple of good pubs around a 25-minute stroll away. We made good use of the Bbq facilities and stargazers will appreciate the dark skies. All in an excellent week.

April Cottage, hotel in Heveningham

April Cottage features a patio and is set in Aldeburgh, within just 2 km of Sudbourne Beach and 1.3 km of Aldeburgh Golf Club.

Everything was perfect - the best stay we’ve had for a long time. The house was lovely and in a great location - only 10 minutes walk from Aldeburgh but in a quiet road so no traffic noise. There was only two of us so plenty of space and everything was spotless. Lovely shower. Recommend booking dinner well in advance- we booked before our holiday. The Lighthouse restaurant is wonderful.

Roomy house and large garden terrace for outdoor meals in warm weather :) House was larger than we expected. The property seemed well managed; excellent comms from the management company. Nice touches of a home such as decor with local references.

The staff are extremely attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The lodges are extremely clean and well maintained. We've stayed in 2 lodges and both have been extremely airy and offer a very relaxing environment.

There was excellent communication with staff before arrival. They even offered the use of the cinema room for our Son. The lodge was airy, immaculate, and had excellent facilities. The underfloor heating provided a lovely, comfortable atmosphere to stay in.

Great place to stay for me and my mum over Christmas, location was ideal with a car though not really close to anything on foot. We didn't actually meet the host/staff but everything was communicated clearly via phone. The lodges are beautiful inside and out, really enjoyed the environment and the little decorations for the holidays were a nice cosy touch. Can't stop thinking about the kitchen! Very well stocked and the facilities worked perfectly for the huge Christmas Day dinner we made.

The location was idyllic. Apart from the few cars using the one small country road leading to the property, there was no road noise or other noise except for the beautiful birdsong and the wind in the trees. It was so peaceful that at night you could hear the bats' wings as they flitted by overhead!
