The cottage really is lovely, very pretty. Nicely decorated throughout.
Good parking and garden was a bonus!
Kitchen well equipped.
Nice touches with bottle of wine were great.
Instructions in folder very detailed and useful.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
This a beautiful little space and a charming square and there good food all around plus a cute store for self catering. It’s also warm and cosy and the bed was super comfortable. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Everything exceeded expectations.
We liked the home from home feel of the apartment. Comfortable bed. The lovely bath. Log burner for cosy nights. Spacious and clean. Dishwasher. Milk, coffee and tea on arrival. Hand soap supplied. Soft, fresh smelling towels. Ease of access via key code. Shop and pub serving food close by. Having a balcony to sit out in warmer weather. Dog friendly.
The breakfast was excellent, A really good choice
Our room was lovely , cosy with plenty of storage and a very nice bathroom, Very dog friendly too,
The pub had been extended [to a very high standard] since our last visit a few years ago
It was very busy all day Sunday but there were plenty of staff who were well organised and attentive so our evening meal
came quickly and was delicious. A well run pub for sure
The whole property is immaculate! Everything is clean, neat and tidy. Every detail of this beautiful little hideaway screams luxury. From the rustic but modern lighting and fixtures, to the big bath and super comfortable bed. Mark sure does have a great eye for detail. The living room TV allows you to connect to Netflix etc while you get cozy in front of the stocked log burner. The location is ideal for those that want a quiet and relaxing break away, and the Dabbling Duck opposite offers great food and a cozy atmosphere.
This pub has been on my radar ever since I saw it in the Good Pub Guide a few years ago. Amazing place, idyllic village, great rooms. Also walks from the door, whether it be a short stroll around the two large duck ponds, or a longer all day walk. Great for dogs, very dog friendly. Good value cask beers. The homemade fruit vodka shots where a nice touch, slipped down a treat! Pubs these days need our support, it was great to see this place almost full on a cosy November evening.
we were upgraded to the Duckling cottage which is a self catering property but we still given the B&B and house keeping facility. The cottage is very well equipped. It was very clean, beautifully decorated it felt very homely. The only slight niggle was the central heating was controlled from an outside source so in the evenings when the temperature dropped we weren’t able to alter the temperature. There was however a log burner in the lounge which meant we were toasty warm in the lounge but the rest of the cottage then felt even colder!!!!
