Gingerbread Cottage Yurts, hotel in Great Ellingham

Set in East Dereham, 25 km from Norwich, Gingerbread Cottage Yurts features luxury yurts set in a woodland garden with free WiFi and views of the natural surroundings.

Really lovely setting overlooking the woods and with lots of walks close by. Good facilities - we enjoyed barbecuing in the rain (!) and loved the log stove in the yurt which was very effective on an unseasonably cold night. Nicola was a very welcoming host and had thought of everything (including a jug of fresh milk for our use in the fridge on arrival). It was our first experience of Glamping! Thoroughly enjoyable and it’s definitely whetted our appetite!

Two story apartment at the back of an old rectory. The ground floor was quite small, just a small kitchen and snug, but it did the job for us as we were meeting up for a family party elsewhere. Upstairs was like a tardis , lots of space 4 bedrooms ( two interconnected )two bathrooms and a kitchenette. Lovely and warm and clean. I loved it for its quirkiness, history, wide floorboards , fireplaces etc. Maybe not for everyone if you aren’t used to Norfolk charm .

The accommodation and hot tub were first class, really quiet and cosy. Everything felt very well appointed and luxurious. Self-check-in was easy and we really liked all the games available. Bathroom very clean and well-stocked. Honesty shop is a really welcome addition saving you from going out in the car to find a shop for that one thing you forgot!

beautiful cottage, big rooms and very comfy beds, everything we needed for our group weekend away. we had a fantastic time. There is a lovely pub in the local village just a short walk away, and the hot tub was an added bonus. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there if we were in the area again.
