Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Everything - perfect, just what we wanted!
The whole ‘cottage’, although small was so well thought out, really comfortable & spotlessly clean.
(Husband was doing the Pennine Way & I was providing support & cycling. The North View Cottage was our base for a few stages & the facilities ensured a nice warm end to the day, ability to do washing, dry out, re-fuel and relax in comfort on what has been a pretty damp experience at times!). Thank you!
Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Cottage is perfect, has everythng you could want and need. Hot tub and private garden was amazing! Beautiful surroundings and animals. Just an absolute little gem of a place!
Lovely cosy little converted cottage. Perfect size for a couple . Had all amenities required and was a brilliant location for Hadrians wall and the local history .
Brilliant and cosy little cottage with enough space to spend more than a week; close to local and national walks (Hadrian's Wall); the little back garden was brilliant, you felt like i your own little pub outdoor seating area; kitchen was well equipped; lovely region, very quiet - the trains hooting added to the romantic atmosphere
Runnerfoot is a lovely little cottage in a pretty village, cosy, clean and had all we needed and more. The owner (Julie) even provides a welcome pack of bread, butter, jam, milk, eggs, wine etc, which was great to have on arrival. The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring Hadrian's Wall, historic sites and picturesque towns and villages.
Julie was a great host, very friendly and helpful.
Once booked I found the owner very communicative and extremely helpful in the lead up to, and during my stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival. It had everything I needed (a home from home) and was cosy and warm. I would highly recommend this cottage.
