Location fab, lovely quiet site, caravan was clean and had everything we needed for a nice 4 day break. Had a journey out to Amble and a fantastic meal at the Cook and Barker Inn at Newton le Moor. Overall it was a lovely relaxing break and the dog loved walking round the lake and in the woods.

A large country house in the countryside, near the A1. Rooms are large (with very high ceilings) and beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plentiful parking is available by the side of the hotel, and you can walk around the grounds. The evening restaurant serves a good dinner, with good food and excellent service.

Decor was excellent. Was as good as pictures and consistent throughout. Looks good place for a wedding, or a really good location for a murder mystery weekend. Has that country house feel and the service was as good. Even the reception desk was a real desk! Staff really helpful and although this was meant as a short stopover on our way back from Scotland we wish we could have stayed for longer. Breakfast was a menu and server (which we like) and they had Gluten free bread to ensure nobody is left out!...

Country house set in beautiful grounds. We stayed in a separate lodge to the hotel which was a good size & lovely & peaceful. Location also meant that most attractions were 20 minute drive away.

We stayed in the Lodge, a couple of minutes walk from the main house, it was very nice, clean and comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hall itself is very grand and I would imagine a beautiful setting for weddings etc.

It's a dreamy place which makes you feel like you've arrived in a different point in time. Incredibly warm, welcoming and sweet staff, cosy rooms, comfortable beds and the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anybody who loves the authentic, charming British countryside with all its beauty.
