A lovely location which was very quiet and lovely views. An immaculately kept garden which was best enjoyed from the hot tub. The hot tub was covered which meant no weather would damped our spirits.
The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Some lovely touches by the hosts with eggs, milk and biscuits for us!
The outdoor space was well laid out and everything was accessible no matter what the weather! Would stay again!!
Fantastic cosy lodge, equipped and decorated really nicely. Very nice little touches, family and dog friendly. The hammock and egg chair went down a treat for the kids 🫶🏻
Lovely little Bbq table to use disposable bbqs. Safe decking area for our dog to enjoy the views too.
Location is absolutely stunning with an amazing walking trail. The lodge itself is nice and cozy. Beds are very comfortable. Board games are a nice extra. Good instructions for how to work all the facilities in the leather book provided. Great communication with the hosts with checking in and out. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.
A superb gem, just ten minutes outside of Dunoon and convenient for the whole of the Argyll peninsula. Very well equipped log cabin, which was cozy and quiet. The hosts were very responsive and kept us informed, at all times.
I have been going to this part of Scotland regularly, over the past few years, and this will now be my first place to look at for when I inevitably return.
Such a wonderful, homely cottage! Cosy, well equipped and stunning views. There was plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings, including watching the wildlife from the window. The owners couldn’t be more helpful and friendly, providing a welcome gift and giving information about the area. We really felt at home here.
Everything was perfect for my wife and I. The lodge it’s self is so lovely, got everything you need for a self catering holiday. We spent most of the time on the patio in the sun. Fantastic location, so many walks, hikes loads of fun activities just stones throw away. Hosts Stephen and Liz very friendly, very helpful. Definitely will be returning.
Calltain Lodge is an adorable home from home, situated in a small glen surrounded by tall standing trees. The cabin itself keeps nice and cool in the hot weather and maintains a comfortable temperature during the evening. It is well-decorated and homely, with easy to work utilities such as a smart TV, shower, dishwasher and thermostat. The owners were very friendly and informative ahead of our arrival, recommending different days out, nearby attractions and places to eat.
The lodge was cosy and comfortable and absolutely spotless. We had everything we needed for a short weekend break and the wee welcome basket was a lovely touch. There was a log burning fire, but we didn't need it as the cabin was warm enough without it. We even had to open the French door at one point to let some of the heat out.
The location is stunning, and the lodge is right on the river, which provides a lovely background noise. We even had a wee visit every morning from Rusty, the red squirrel which never failed to make us smile.
